Looking for low cost shipping container storage? This is Hippo Self Storage’s speciality with a range of different container sizes available to suit your requirements and budget. Our shipping containers are purchased as ‘new builds’ meaning they are in excellent condition. They are also fitted with secure custom lock boxes. Our family owned business is based in the Melbourne suburb of Mordialloc, near Moorabbin Airport.

 

20ft container storage

The 20 foot shipping container self storage unit is our largest option. This is ideal for customers storing the contents of their home (for example, when they are renovating, moving house, or just have a large overflow of stuff!) as well as for businesses needing to store excess stock. Approximate specifications:

10ft container storage

Our 10 foot shipping containers are the mid-size self storage option. They are roughly half the size of 20 ft containers. Approximate specifications:

  • Volume: 15 cubic metres

8ft container storage

The 8 foot shipping container is our smallest unit. You can, however, fit a surprising number of boxes in this container. It is ideal when a little extra storage space is needed for excess items at home or the office (such as tools, sporting equipment, small pieces of furniture or archive boxes). It’s also our cheapest storage option! Approximate specifications:

  • Internal dimensions: 2.3 metres long by 2.1 metres wide by 2.06 metres high

  • Area: 5 square metres

  • Volume: 10 cubic metres
